Hussain Shameem appointed Deputy Prosecutor General

Hussain Shameem has been appointed as the Deputy Prosecutor General (DPG).

Prosecutor General’s Office said that Shameem was appointed today. His appointment follows the resignation of Deputy Prosecutor General Dheebanaaz Fahmy on Monday, who was appointed to the position on 31 October 2012.

Shameem previously held the position of DPG from 4 February 2009 until 7 October 2012, until he resigned to leave to the UK to undertake a Master of Laws degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice from University of Sussex.
