The Elections Commission (EC) has decided that polling will be conducted between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, 9 November 2013, for the first round of the presidential election.
This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Secretary General of EC Asim Abdul Sattar. He however did not provide any details.
EC announced earlier that the second round of the election, if necessary, will be held on Sunday, 10 November.
Voting times for ballot stations overseas was also announced by EC today.
The commission said that polling will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in New Delhi, Trivandrum and Colombo; 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in London; 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore - all in local time of the respective countries.
