MP Hussain Waheed

Komandoo MP Hussain Waheed’s wife and four-year-old daughter have been stabbed with a sharp object.

The incident took place around nightfall tonight at their residence, sixth floor of Henveiru Azum.

A police media official said that the incident took place ‘due to family problems’ and that a 30-year-old man has been taken into custody in relation to this case. Sun is aware that the man arrested is an elder half brother of MP Hussain Waheed’s wife. He has been accused of stabbing the MP’s wife and daughter.

The mother and child are being treated at ADK Hospital. The child’s condition is reported to be serious.
