Final voters

Elections Commission (EC) has said that the final voters’ list for the election scheduled for Saturday, 9 November, will be sent to the political parties tonight.

The timetable compiled by the Commission regarding election preparations states that the final voters’ list must be sent to the presidential candidates by tomorrow.

The candidates are supposed to check the list and endorse it by 6 November.

Secretary General of EC Asim Abdul Sattar said that the final voters’ list will be sent to the candidates as PDF and Excel files tonight.

EC said in a letter sent to political parties yesterday that parties need to pay if they want hard copies of the voters’ list, and also asked the parties to place their requests for hard copies before 4 p.m. today.

Asim said that no requests have been received for hard copies of the voters’ list yet.
