Window of Indian High Commissioner

The rear window of the car of the High Commissioner of India to the Maldives has been broken while the car was parked in front of the High Commission on Ameer Ahmed Magu.

The police said that the incident was reported at 6:45 p.m. and that the matter is now under investigation.

The police also strongly condemned this crime, and urged the public to contact Maldives Police Service Hotline at 3322111 if they have any information on the individuals behind this attack.

The police assured that protection will be given to persons who provide information on this matter.

Sun reporter who went to the scene said that the window was most likely broken by a rock thrown at the car by two individuals on a motorcycle. He said that the police are now present at the scene.

The rock thrown at the Mercedes-Benz left it with a hole in the rear window.
