Parliament session today ended amidst spats and quarrels with Hulhu-Henveyru MP Reeko Moosa Manik being forced out of the chamber by the Speaker of the Parliament for disrupting proceedings.
Unable to proceed with a debate on an emergency motion presented by Kendhukulhudhoo MP Ahmed Easa, the session was called to a close at 2:30 p.m.
The session lost order when MP Reeko Moosa Manik called for points of order in attempts to reply to remarks directed by Vilufushi MP Riyaz Rasheed.
Parliament was tabled to vote on the committee report on the bill on putting a halt to appeals to foreign holiday-makers to boycott the Maldives as a tourist destination, proposed by Vaikaradhoo MP Ali Arif.
Next session of parliament will begin at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday).
