EC allows candidates to check re-registration forms

Elections Commission (EC) has today allowed the presidential candidates to check voter re-registration forms for irregularities.

EC’s Director General made the announcement in the presence of media and party officials inside an Elections Commission’s warehouse today.

The commission received over 72,000 re-registration forms for the 19 October failed re-run election.

The commission has invited 5 representatives from each candidate to check the forms from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. There is no deadline to validate the forms, Director General Shuaib said.

“If we have to change the times, we will consider it,” he said.
