No-confidence motion against AG Azima Shakoor postponed

The parliament has postponed the no-confidence motion against Attorney General (AG) Azima Shakoor to Tuesday.

The parliament said in a statement today that the motion, presented with signatures of 26 MPs, was previously scheduled for tomorrow, however, the Attorney General informed the Speaker of Parliament today that she is unwell, following which the Speaker of Parliament decided to postpone the motion to Tuesday.

Notices regarding no-confidence motions were sent to Azima Shakoor and Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim on 1 October.
