Deadline for submission of company annual reports extended

Ministry of Economic Development has extended the deadline for submission of annual statistics, annual director’s report and the annual audit report for companies to 21 November 2013.

The deadline was previously set for the end of October.

The Ministry published an announcement stating that the Maldives Companies Act requires all companies registered in the Maldives to submit an annual report to the Registrar of Companies and that the Ministry has previously allowed companies registered by 31 July to submit the report by 31 October 2013.

However, as the days prior to submission of the report consists of a number public holidays, the Ministry has decided to extend the deadline to 21 November 2013, the announcement said.

The Ministry also states that the report can be submitted through the Ministry of Economic Development website.
