Night market period extended

Night market period is extended for three days due to the huge demand. Ahmed Adheeb, the treasurer of the Maldives National Chamber of Commerce that organizes the market said that it has been decided to extend the period for three more days because of the great demand and the per the request of 325 businessmen out 400 who participated in the night market. According to the previous schedule tonight is the last night of the night market, but it will continue up to Friday night as per now.

Chamber of Commerce has given two options for the participants. Any party who wish to quit by tonight can do that, but those who wish to continue further should pay the MRf 750.00.

“When we extend the period it costs a lot, for managing the waste and electricity. That’s why we’ve decided to charge MRf 750. But anybody who wish to quit tonight can do that without paying an extra charge.” Said Adheeb. The annual night market commenced this year on 10th of July and the Chamber of Commerce reports to have a huge demand.
