MACL calls for bids to develop INIA

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has called for bids to develop the parking apron and taxiway in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport’s (INIA).

The company has asked interested parties to indicate their interest through e-mail or fax by next Thursday, and stated that a summery of the project will be shared with those interested, soon after.

MACL said that companies can purchase the detailed bid document for $1,500 before 7th of October, and will be invited to a pre-bid meeting and a site visit on the 10th of October.

The bid would require a security of MVR500,000 and must be submitted before 2:00 p.m. on 29th October 2013, MACL said.

In an interview to Sun today, MACL’s Managing Director Ibrahim Saleem (Bandhu Saleem) said that the new apron will be 300 meters long and 75 meters wide and will increase the airport's parking space for aircrafts.
