Shops at northern harbour area burgled

Several shops in the northern harbour area in Male’ have been broken into last night.

The police said that burglaries had been reported from three shops, and that the matter was under investigation.

People at the scene said that the shops that were broken into through the ceiling are Global Link Traders, MHR Trading, Baa Atholhu Fihaara and Raa Atholhu Fihaara.

These adjacent shops are all two-storey buildings.

The items stolen from these shops, which deal in wholesale trade, are not yet known.
