CSC President Fahmy

The access code given to former president of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Mohamed Fahmy Hassan to enter his office has been cancelled.

Fahmy has been dismissed from Civil Service Commission (CSC) membership by the parliament.

CSC employees use a finger access code system to enter the office, and since Fahmy’s code has been cancelled, he now requires another employee to unlock the door for him to enter the office.

An employee of the commission told Sun Online that Fahmy attends work some days, but does not use the room designated for the president of the commission.

The employee said that Fahmy does not do any work, or handle any documents of the commission.

Fahmy was dismissed following allegations of sexual harassment of a female employee of the commission.

Fahmy however resumed attending work following a Supreme Court ruling in this regard, and after being notified by the President’s Office.

Dr Mohamed Latheef, who was recently by the parliament as president of CSC, has sent a letter to the president, asking the president to settle the issue related to Fahmy.

Meanwhile, Fathimath Reenee Abdul Sattar has been appointed as a member of CSC to replace Fahmy.

Reenee has not started attending work, and neither Reenee nor Dr Latheef has taken the oath as a member of CSC.

It has not been possible to contact Fahmy regarding this matter, as his phone is switched off.
