The Elections Commission has decided to give a period of three days for re-registration, for people who wish to vote from a different location at the second round of the presidential election.
President of the Elections Commission Fuad Thaufeeg told Sun Online today that re-registration will be open for three days starting from today, for people who wish to vote at the second round from a location other than the one they voted from at the first round of the presidential election.
Voting for the second round of the presidential election will be held on 28 September.
Fuad said that it has also been decided to give the opportunity for three days from today, to people who could not vote in the first round because their name was missing on the voters’ list or any other reason, to file complaints to revise the list.
More than 65,000 out of 239,593 eligible voters re-registered to vote from a location other than their permanent residents, for the first round of the presidential election on Saturday.
