EC to announce preliminary results at 11 p.m. Saturday

Elections Commission has said that they will announce the preliminary election results of the presidential polls at 11:00 p.m. on polling day, Saturday the 7th of September.

The Commission said that they will conduct three news conference on Satruday, the first at 9:00 a.m. the second at 2:30 p.m. and the third at 5:30 p.m. in the evening.

Voting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. and close by 4:00 p.m.

A total of 470 ballot boxes are to be placed across the country and overseas, as Maldives decides a president for the next five-year term.
