Alif Alif Rasdhoo Magistrate Court has issued a summons upon the Pension Administration Office for neglecting to deposit an individual’s pension money to the court’s account, as previously ordered by the court.
The summons orders the CEO of the Pension Office, Mohamed Hussain Manik, or a person with the authority to answer to the court, to be present at the court on the 16th of September 2013.
An official from Rasdhoo Magistrate Court said the case was regarding the inheritance of one late Mohamed Ibrahim, a former teacher at the island school. The case was filed on 21st October 2012, the official said.
The summons also states that the Pension Office had neglected to transfer the pension money of Mohamed Ibrahim to the court’s bank account, as ordered by the court on the 4th of February this year.
The court also states that Pension Office has failed to reply to a fax message sent to the office by the court on 15th of May this year, seeking a reason for their delay to depositing the money.
