New MD appointed to Fenaka Corporation

Government has appointed a new Managing Director to Fenaka Corporation Limited, the government company established to provide primary services to the populace outside of the capital Male’.

Media Secretary at the President’s Office Massood Imad told Sun that Farooq Mohamed Hassan of Boduge, Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo has been appointed the new Managing Director for Fenaka Corporation.

The appointment was made on the 14th of this month, the Media Secretary said.

Farooq replaces Mohamed Nimal, a member of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), as the new MD of Fenaka.

President of Privatization Board Mohamed Amjad removed Mohamed Nimal as the MD of Fenaka early last month, after citing complaints that he had misused his authority to hire people to various posts of the company.
