Elections Commission has extended the window of re-submission of re-registration forms that had issues, when initially submitted to the Commission.
All voters who intend to vote from ballot stations other than the stations designated for their permanent addresses are required to re-register for their current stations before the 7th of August 2013, 24:00 hours today.
EC said that the deadline for forms with issues has been extended to the 13th of this month.
A statement issued by EC today said that they will not extend the deadline for re-registration for normal submissions, but said that forms with issues maybe re-submitted before Tuesday next week.
A number of parties, including President Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik, have asked the EC for an extension of the re-registration deadline. The Commission however has adamantly refused an extension.
