Cases of 11 people accused for stabbing near Allora sent to prosecutor

The cases of 9 men and 2 minors accused of stabbing a man in Male' has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General for prosecution.

The nine men are identified as; Anas Hussain, 19, Cell, Lhaviyani Hinnavaru, Midhath Ibrahim, 18, Dheyliyage, Gaafu Alif Dhevvadhoo, Mohamed Fareed, 18, Male’ Dhaftharu (local registry), Hanif Imthiyaz,18, Mushthareege, Haa Alif Baarah, Shifan Jameel, 20, Palm Shade, Gaafu Alif Vilingili, Ahmed Mafaz, 26, Hudhurihi, Seenu Maradhoo, Abdulla Nasih, 18, Dhaarul Garaaru, Gaafu Alif Kondey, Abdul Muhaimin, 20, Alivaage, Gaafu Dhaalu Rathafandhoo, Nafeel Abdul Gadir, 27, Thiruge, Gaafu Dhaalu Dhaandhoo.

The 9 men and two minors have been accused of an assault an stabbing that took place on the 19th of May 2013 in Male’, where the group had barged into a shop opposite Allora furniture shop and subsequently beaten and stabbed a man who was hiding behind the shop’s counter. The victim was stabbed twice in the attack.

The police forwarded the case requesting prosecution on the 21st of this month.
