Dhunya Maumoon appointed as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has today appointed Dhunya Maumoon, daughter of former President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom, as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The new cabinet, following the resignation of former President Mohamed Nasheed, is still in the process of being established, and a Minister of Foreign Affairs is yet to be appointed.

Dhunya Maumoon served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs during the presidency of her father as well.
