Wataniya launches Ramadan promotions with expensive prizes

Wataniya has introduced several promotions with expensive prizes for Ramadan.

Speaking at a press conference today, Wataniya’s Senior Specialist PR, Marketing and Communications Mariyam Ahmed Didi said that under the Ramadan ‘Call and Win’ promotion, customers stand to win prizes worth more than MVR 300,000 by making local calls of MVR 50 to Wataniya numbers.

Two winners chosen by drawing lots will receive Yamaha Jupiter motorcycles provided by X Zone and MVR 50,000 gift vouchers provided by Allora.

In addition, lots will be drawn among customers who spend more than MVR 50 per week, and two winners will receive Sony Xperia Z phones provided by Reefside.

Mariyam Ahmed Didi said that under the Ramadan ‘Bonus Recharge’ promotion, customers will receive up to 25 percent additional credit if they recharge during the weekends in Ramadan.

Under the ‘IDD Talk More Save More’ promotion, customers will receive a 20 percent discount after the first three minutes of IDD calls.

Also, Wataniya customers will receive a 10 percent discount on prepaid roaming services.

Mariyam Ahmed Didi said that the ‘Ramadan Surprise’ promotion gives customers the chance to win free credit, Live Unlimited cards, iPhone 5s and other exciting prizes, by dialling *999#.

Furthermore, to receive prayer alerts, customers can send GO to 4777, and to pay zakat, customers can dial *909#, said Mariyam Ahmed Didi.
