President appoints Dr. Nazeer as Cabinet Secretary

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has appointed Dr. Abdullah Nazeer as the new Cabinet Secretary.

Dr. Nazeer has so far served as the Deputy Minister of Education.

An official from the President’s Office today confirmed the appointment. Dr. Nazeer is a member of the President’s National Alliance Party.

Dr. Nazeer would be taking over from Hisaan Hussain, who served as both Cabinet Secretary and Legal Affairs Secretary during the presidency of former President Mohamed Nasheed.
