Man arrested for trying to take drugs to Villingili

A man who tried to take drugs to Gaafu Alifu Villingili has been arrested by the police.

It has been confirmed to Sun Online that the suspect is Shuaaullah Saeed, 31, of Dhonveli, Gaafu Alifu Kolamaafushi.

He was arrested after the police found 20 bullets containing a substance suspected to be drugs and three boxes of nitrazepam in the captain’s room of Kolamaa boat, which was checked after the boat entered Villingili harbour, on the night of 7 July 2013.

Shuaaullah Saeed is the captain of Kolamaa.

Gaafu Alifu Dhaandhoo Magistrate Court has given him a detention period of 15 days.

This case is being investigated by the police.
