Salaf introduces prayer application

The Jamiyyathu Salaf has introduced an application for android users including prayer times and other information related to the Muslim prayer.

The application was launched by religious scholar Adam Naseem at a ceremony held at Islamic Centre last night.

The application, created in Dhivehi and Arabic, can be downloaded by typing Salaf using Dhivehi characters in Google Application Store.

Salaf said that the application will be introduced in English later.

Users of this application will receive an alert five minutes before each prayer, hear the call for prayer, and have access to information on prayer times in other regions.

This application was created by a Maldivian youth who holds a software engineering degree from an Australian university.
