MACL increases price of jet fuel

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has increased the price of jet fuel at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).

A circular by MACL announced their revised prices as $1.06 per litre of jet fuel for international operation flights, a 39 Laari increase compared to the previous price of $1.04 per litre of jet fuel. The company said the increase was effective from 1st July 2013.

Their ciruclar said that the company has also increased jet fuel prices for domestic operation flights from $1.02 to $1.05 per litre.

The new prices are applicable only to companies that pay on purchase, MACL said.

MACL states that they have reduced their fuel prices on numerous occasions within the past year and that this recent increase reflects the increased price of their latest shipment of jet fuel.
