The Department of Higher Education has announced the names of the candidates who have been selected for the loan scheme, for students with ongoing studies in the Maldives or abroad.
The names have been published on the website of the Department of Higher Education.
The Education Ministry said that 345 applications were received for the loan scheme for students whose studies are ongoing, out of which 327 students met the criteria for studies in the Maldives or abroad.
The Education Ministry said that under the national student loan scheme, 103 students met the requirements for studying abroad for bachelor’s degree, while nine students met the requirements for studying abroad for master’s degree.
As for courses in the Maldives, 179 students met the requirements for bachelor’s degree, 19 students met the requirements for master’s degree, and 26 students met the requirements for diploma.
MVR 68 million will be provided under this loan scheme for higher education.
