The police have made an announcement seeking 75 civil servants to work with the police.
The announcement states that interested persons may submit applications between 23 June and 14:00 on 4 July 2013.
The police media official said that the 75 civil servants will work with administrative tasks of the police institution, and they will not participate in the official operations of the police.
“The purpose of hiring civil servants is to engage police officers who are currently doing administrative tasks in police operations. The civil servants will not receive all the privileges given to police officers. For example, the police institution takes care of healthcare for police officers’ wives and children; civil servants will not be given this privilege. Civil servants will also not wear a uniform,” he said.
Persons who apply for this job should not have sought drug rehabilitation over the past five years or be registered with a political party in the Maldives.
