Former Biledhdhoo judge found dead

A former judge of Faafu Biledhdhoo has been found dead today after he was reported missing earlier. The police have launched an investigation into this case.

Sun Online understands that former Judge Abdul Ghanee, who was over 70, was found in the bushes on the north-eastern corner of Biledhdhoo football stadium.

The police media official said that there were no injuries visible on his body, but he had a one-inch wound on his head.

“Ghanee’s family searched for him, without success, after he went missing this afternoon. He was found dead tonight,” he said.

He said that the case was reported to Nilandhoo Police Station at around 20:45, following which a speedboat was brought from Faafu Magoodhoo for the officers to travel from Nilandhoo to Biledhdhoo.

Police officers of Nilandhoo Police Station are now present at the scene in Biledhdhoo.
