Dhivei Rayyithunge Party (DRP) Deputy Leader and Henveyru-central MP Ali Azim has signed for the main opposition, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) today.
MDP Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has confirmed to Sun that Azim has signed for MDP.
MP Azim's move will increase the MDP majority in parliament to a total of 34 MPs.
MP Azim also published a tweet today stating that it is time for him to move forward and that he has decided to quit MDP and joins MDP today.
It is time for me to move forward. Today I have decided quit DRP and join MDP.
