Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has today been given broadcast license by the Broadcasting Commission, for 24 hours’ local and international broadcast via Television Maldives (TVM) and Voice of Maldives (VOM).
MBC Chairman Ibrahim Umar Manik said in an interview with Sun Online tonight that the Corporation has received the license and done the necessary to take charge of the operations of TVM and VOM.
“We have received the license, and completed everything necessary in order to take charge. However there are certain legal issues to be settled. The government authorities are working on these issues. We will take charge as soon as these issues are settled and they advise us to do so,” Manik said.
