Former Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Didi has asked the High Court to allow him to intervene in the case filed to High Court by former President Mohamed Nasheed, questioning the legitimacy of the Hulhumale’ Court bench.
This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Ibrahim Didi’s lawyer Ismail Visham.
The bench was appointed to Hulhumale’ Court in relation to the case regarding the alleged illegal arrest of Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed.
In addition to Nasheed, the State has pressed charges against Ibrahim Didi, former Defence Minister Tholhath Ibrahim Kaleyfaan, former Chief of Defence Force Moosa Ali Jaleel and Colonel Mohamed Ziyad, regarding Abdullah Mohamed’s arrest.
