PPM begins campaign in Addu City

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has started travels in Addu City for the presidential campaign, along with the party’s President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.

PPM’s Secretary General Zaha Waheed said today that this campaign trip to Addu City, which commenced yesterday, will be participated the party’s President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, the party’s presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen, and his running mate and current Home Minister Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed.

She said that the party’s campaign team hosted a event in one of the party’s campaign posts in Hithadhoo last night.

The team is scheduled to travel to all islands of Addu City, Zaha said.

The party's Secretary General said that the team is planned to meet with the public in Feydhoo today, after which they will host a campaign event in Hulhumeedhoo tonight, and then meet with the people of Hithadhoo again sometime tomorrow night.

She said that the team will conclude its trip on Monday.

Progressive Party of Maldives officially began its campaign two weeks ago with a debut trip to Gnaviyani Fuvahmulah.
