President inaugurates Hulhumeedhoo road construction project

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has inaugurated the road construction project in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City, this evening.

Speaking at a ceremony to sign the agreement in this regard, the president said that the development of roads in big islands in the atoll is important for the development of the atoll. He assured that the government would work towards implementing more developmental projects in Hulhumeedhoo.

He expressed hope that the road construction project would help boost the economy and benefit the people of the island.

After this, the president opened the pharmacy established in Hulhudhoo by STO. Speaking at this ceremony, he said that medicine required by the people will be available at the pharmacy free of charge under Aasandha. He thanked STO for establishing the pharmacy in the island.
