MNDF has handed over several liquor bottles found in President Nasheed’s residence to the Police. This has been confirmed to Sun by the Police.
Sun has been informed that the liquor bottles were found among the trash taken out of President Nasheed’s residence. The two bags were filled with several empty as well as unopened bottles of liquor.
Police said that they are currently investigating this matter, and further details will be provided later.
Several groups of the public gathered near Muleeaage following this news. One hour later the crowds still remain in this area.
Several liquor bottles were found last Sunday at the residence of the Managing Director of Works Corporation Abdulla Javid, who is also the son-in-law of MDP Interim Chairperson Reeko Moosa.
