Zaha appointed as Secretary General of PPM

Zaha Waheed, who previously held the post of registrar of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), has been appointed as the secretary general of PPM.

PPM Deputy Leader, Funadhoo MP Abdullah Abdul Raheem said today that the decision to appoint Zaha to the post was passed by the party’s council as she meets the requisites for the post.

The party’s Basic Regulation states that the name proposed by the party’s president for the post of secretary general shall be passed by the council.

Zaha has worked with PPM since it was established, and has kept close relations with the media.

The post of PPM secretary general became vacant when Yumna Maumoon resigned from the post.
