Maldives mobile base decreases in March

Statistics have shown that the Maldives mobile base has decreased in March, compared to the month of February.

Last month’s figures published by the Maldives Telecommunications Authority has shown that new mobile connections have dropped by 3799 subscription in March, compared to February.

The country had a total mobile base of 578,010 in February, which consisted of 70,495 postpaid subscribers and 505,515 prepaid customers. The number total number had dropped to 574,211, which now stands at 71,181 postpaid users and 503,030 prepaid customers.

The statistics also show that the mobile internet users have dramatically fallen in the month of March to 81,735 from 104,671 users in February, a total reduction of 22,936 subscriptions.
