Man injured in road accident sent abroad for further treatment

A man injured in a road accident that took place in Male’ last night has been transported abroad for further treatment.

The 24 year old man sustained serious injuries after two motorcycles crashed near Tuscaloosa café around 10:30 last night.

Media Official at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) Zeenath Ali Habeeb said that the man had sustained serious injuries to his head and that he was in critical condition when he was flown off abroad. Zeenath however did not give details of the injuries.

A Media Official from the police said that the people injured in accident were the two people who were seated in the front of the two motorcycles. The official said that both motorcycles were carrying a passengers.

Police however did not shed light on what had caused the accident, but said that they are currently investigating the accident.
