Artur brothers company details made public

Trade Ministry has revealed the information of the company registered in the Maldives which include the share of the two notorious conmen, the Artur brothers.

Speaking to Sun Online today, an official from the Economic Minister said that the company registered in the Maldives with shares of the two Armenian brothers, Artur Sargsyan and Artur Margaryan, was registered as Arthur Brothers World Connection Private Limited.

Reports of the Artur brothers in the Maldives were sparked by photos shared in social media networks, directing accusations towards senior officials of the government accusing them of working with the Artur brothers.

The Artur brothers have been linked to a number of crimes, most notably in Kenya where they were involved in a drug trafficking scandal and later deported from the country after the story was reported by the media.

The Arthur Brothers World Connection was registered in the Maldives on the 14th of August 2012 with a licence to carry out tourism related businesses. The company lists 5 shareholders, including one Maldivian.

A Maldivian by the name Ismail Waseem of H. Ever Chance was the first man listed as a shareholder of the company, along with the two Artur brothers and two French citizens, Godzine Sargsyan and Edga Sargsyan.

While one of the Artur brothers hold 61 percent of the shares, the other Artur brother holds 19 percent, one of the French citizens 10 percent of the shares, the other French citizen another 7 percent, and the Maldivian is listed to hold 3 percent company’s shares.

An official from the Economic Ministry revealed that the 3 percent shares owned by Ismail Waseem was transferred to a one Abdulla Shaffath of H. Ever Peace on the 25th of November 2012.
