Man arrested for violent behaviour at protest

The police have arrested a man who created unrest during the protest outside Male’ City Council on 5 March following the arrest of former President Mohamed Nasheed under an order by Hulhumale’ Magistrate Court.

The police said that Hussain Abdullah, 26, of Blue Bird house in Male’, is one of the four men seen in the video posted by the police in search of people who created unrest at the protest, and that he was arrested today following a court order.

The police said that he was arrested at around 3.30 pm today at Blue Bird house.

The police have urged the public to come forward with any information on the people seen in the video.
