Police seek man for attacking a policeman

Police have started searching for man who attacked a policeman during a protest.

Police have released a photograph of the man, stating that the is wanted in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The photograph shows the wanted man on the back of policeman, trying to assault him.

“If any persons have information regarding this man, please contact Police Service Criminal Investigation Department number 9631696 or Maldives Police Service hotline 3322111 and share your information,” Police announcement stated.

The announcement also stated that the police will provide all necessary protection to the person who provides any information regarding the person in question.
