High Commissioner of India to the Maldives Dnyaneshwar Mulay has paid his farewell call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed today.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, Mulay said that the time he spent in the Maldives had been filled with happiness and diverse experiences. He said that it had been great pleasure to serve the Maldives.
President Waheed expressed his gratitude for Mulay’s contribution and support in strengthening the bilateral relations between the Maldives and India. The President expressed confidence that the close ties will remain strong in the future.
Mulay assumed the post of Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives in April 2009. Mulay’s stay in Male’ was extended for some months after his three-year tenure up, due to the political changes taking place in the Maldives.
Mulay has been designated as the Consul General of India in New York, USA.
