The Maldives Blood Services (MBS) has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations due to a significant drop in supply at the national blood bank.
In a public announcement shared on social media, MBS stated that blood from multiple groups is critically needed. The groups currently in demand include A+, B+, AB+, O+, B−, and O−.
The service urged as many eligible individuals as possible to donate, noting that the blood bank’s reserves have decreased considerably.
Donations can be made at the MBS Blood Bank in Orange Hiya, Hulhumale' Phase 1, between 08:00 and 20:00, Saturday to Thursday.
