The Elections Commission (EC) has received 315 complaints so far regarding the voter registry for the April 4 Local Council Elections and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.

The EC said the total had reached 315 complaints as of 18:00 on Wednesday.

According to the commission, the complaints mainly concern changes of address, changes of residence, and requests to remove deceased individuals from the registry.

The deadline for submitting complaints to the Registry of Eligible Voters is 15:00 on Tuesday.

The EC said that when requesting an addition, deletion, or correction in the registry, applicants must submit an official document supporting the validity of the complaint. Political parties may submit their complaints through the Simedha portal.

Voters can verify their information through the registry published on the EC website, or by sending an SMS to 1414 in the format: VR [space] ID number. Complaints can be submitted through the EC’s main portal.

For election‑related inquiries, the EC call centre is available at 1414. The centre operates from 08:00 to 22:00 every day except Sundays, and from 15:00 to 20:00 on Sundays.
