Police yet to make arrests after violent dispute between brothers inside Hiyaa flat

Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with a violent dispute between two brothers inside a Hiyaa apartment on Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment in the eighth tower of the Hulhumale' Hiyaa Flats, where they found one of the brothers stabbed and injured. Police confirmed to Sun on Monday that, more than 24 hours later, no arrests have been made as the case remains under investigation.

The injured man, a 38‑year‑old, was initially treated at Hulhumale' Hospital’s emergency room before being transferred to ADK Hospital. Police said he is in stable condition.

According to police, the man sustained a stab wound to his thigh that severed a major nerve.

A witness told Sun that a seriously injured man was taken to hospital at around 15:50 on Sunday. Eyewitnesses reported that he had multiple injuries and had been stabbed.
