SEA STAG bags MVR 100,000 cash prize as champions of Youth Hack 2025

SEA STAG has been crowned as the champions of the Youth Hack 2025 – a hackathon held by the Youth Empowerment, Information and Art Ministry.

The winners of the three-day Youth Hack 2025 were announced and presented with their prizes on Saturday night.

Team SEA STAG, which won the tournament, received a cash prize of MVR 100,000. They were presented with their prize money by Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO Khalid Hassan Al-Hamadi.

Wavemind secured second place and won MVR 75,000, while SickSaySeven claimed third and won MVR 50,000.

Youth Hack 2025 took place from December 11-13, bringing together 85 youths.

Over the course of 48 hours, the teams presented pitches in four different thematic areas: sports fitness and active lifestyle, mental wellness and resilience, youth ventures and gig economy, and arts culture and digital creativity.

The Youth Ministry held the hackathon with Ooredoo Maldives as the main partner and Women in Tech as the co-partner.
