FDC sets new tentative dates for handover of Gedhoruveriya flats

Fahi Dhirulhun Corporation (FDC) has published new tentative dates tentative dates for the handover of 4,000 flats developed by the Corporation in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

In October, FDC handed over keys for the units in Amaan Udhares Tower 14 – one of the 32 towers of the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ project – following which residents started occupying the apartments.

At the time, the Corporation said it aims to wrap up the handover of keys for the remaining units before December.

However, on Tuesday, FDC has published tentative dates for the handover of the remaining units, now scheduling the completion of key distribution for the last week of January.

Tentative dates for handover of keys by units:

• Units in Amaan Udhares towers 11, 22, 13, 15, 16 – Second week of this month
• Units Amaan Udhares tower eight – Third week of January
• Units Amaan Udhares towers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 – Fourth week of January
• Units in Amaan Dhoadhi towers 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 14, 14 – Fifth week of January
• Units in Amaan Dhoadhi towers 15 and 16 – Second week of January
• Units in Amaan Dhoadhi towers 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 – Fifth week of January

Notably, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has previously stated that the flats will be handed over to the recipients before the next academic year, with majority of flats scheduled for handover before the end of December.

The next academic year is set to begin on January 27^th.

The two- and three-bedroom units were constructed under the previous administration. The monthly rent for a three-bedroom unit, including maintenance, is MVR 11,500, while a two-bedroom unit costs MVR 8,000 per month with maintenance included.
