BML honors long-serving employees including MD Shareef

Bank of Maldives (BML) has honored and celebrated the loyalty of its long-serving employees including, CEO, Managing Director Mohamed Shareef.

A total of 43 employees who served the bank for 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40 years were honored during a special ceremony held at Barceló Nasandhura on Sunday night.

The awards were presented to the employees by BML’s Chairperson Ali Ahmed Ali Habeeb, along with members of the board and executive committee.

The 43 employees included Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer, who was specially recognized for an outstanding 40 years of service. The Bank’s CEO, Managing Director Shareef was also honored for 25 years of dedication and commitment to the Bank.

Speaking during the ceremony, Shareef said the bank’s true strength lies with its employees rather than only its financial indicators.

“Tonight, we honour the people who define the very spirit of Bank of Maldives. Your years of dedication, loyalty and service are not just milestones—they are the pillars on which this institution stands. Our strength has never been measured only in financial indicators. Our true strength is you—our people. Your commitment is the foundation of our reputation, our performance, and our leadership in the industry,” he said.
