BML app and internet banking services suspended

The Bank of Maldives (BML) mobile application and internet banking services have been suspended due to a technical issue.  

Customers have reported being unable to access the services for over an hour, with several users expressing frustration on social media.  

When contacted, BML’s call centre confirmed that there were difficulties accessing the app and online banking, and said the bank was working to restore services as soon as possible.  

BML also posted on X, acknowledging the issue and apologizing for the inconvenience.  

The bank’s digital services occasionally face brief disruptions, but such issues are typically resolved within a short time.
