Artist Maeesha gets investigated by authorities over a child she doesn’t have

A case has come to light where Ministry of Social and Family Development raided the house of famous singer Mariyam Maeesha (Raalhu Mariyanbu), to assume custody of her child based on a report, despite the fact that she is not a mother.

Maeesha, via a post on X, said her sister got a call from the Ministry on Thursday, claiming she has a two-year-old they want assume custody of based on an anonymous report.

She confirmed that she does not have child.

According to Maeesha, the Ministry did not contact her directly, but her sister.

Maeesha said she called the Ministry to clarify the misconception which she said the Ministry, which did not answer.

She added that she later got a call from her sister, saying officials from the Ministry were in her house for “investigation”.

The Ministry has yet to make an official statement regarding the matter.
