President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Monday, has departed on a three-day tour of 11 residential islands in Laamu Atoll.
According to the President’s Office, President Muizzu is scheduled to visit Isdhoo, Kalaidhoo, Dhanbidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Gan, Maavah, Fonadhoo, Maamendhoo, Hithadhoo, and Kunahandhoo.
His itinerary at each island includes discussions with the local council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) to address local development goals and identify opportunities to improve community well-being. He will also interact with residents to better understand their needs and concerns.
This visit forms a key part of the President’s nationwide initiative to visit every Maldivian atoll, with a strong emphasis on deepening direct engagement with atoll, island, and city councils to accelerate development across the country.
The President is accompanied by cabinet ministers and senior officials from key government institutions.
